20 Weeks

It's a GIRL!!

Brad and I are so thrilled to know that we will be having a little princess come into the world in December. We loved the way we found out as well.  We decided to have a gender reveal party with family and friends.  When I went in for an ultrasound, I had the doctor put the gender in an envelope and quickly took it the bakery without peaking.  They then would dye the filling of the cake blue for a boy and pink for a girl.  And of course, our filling was pink!  We cut the cake at the party, and we all found out at the same time.  We are truly thankful that everyone was able to enjoy this moment with us.
Here are some pictures of the party:

Week 18

We are almost half way there! Time is just flying by and the pregnancy is feeling more real everyday.  We have had some very exciting things happen in the last 2 weeks.  I can finally feel the little one moving around!  They call them flutters but they feel more like bubbles popping on my belly. At first, I could feel them every now and then, but these week they have become pretty regular. Baby is very active in the mornings and in the evenings!  We have also started painting the nursery.  It was a tough paint decision but we finally choose a neutral light gray color that can work for both a boy or a girl.  I will have pictures when it is completely finished.

Brad has also been hard at work building our backyard fence.  It has been tough due to the huge rocky bluff our house is built on, but he has pulled through, with the help of his dad, uncle and brother and has it almost complete. The fence is going to be wonderful for the dogs and me, especially when baby comes!  Thank you hubby, for building it!

Doggy Paradise- Bubba says, "It just needs a pool!"

It seems, especially when I look at pictures, that I am looking more and more pregnant everyday. Ya!!! I've got the baby bump! Next post at 20 weeks, we will know, is it a boy or is it a girl?!? We cannot wait to find out!

*Maternity Clothes: A must!
*Sleep: Can't make it through the night without getting up at least once :(
*Stretch Marks: M.I.A., thank goodness!
*Best Moments of the week: Feeling the flutters of the little one. He/She is really in there!
*Miss Anything: Being able to do things I used to without getting exhausted at the end of the day.
*Food Cravings: Strawberries and peaches
*Anything making you queasy or sick: Oh, the heartburn is still around!
*Have you started to show yet: Yes, belly is there
*Gender: We should find out in two weeks.
*Belly Button in or out: in
*Wedding Rings on or off: on
*Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy, but moody when not feeling well.
*Looking forward to: knowing if the baby is a boy or a girl.
*How's the hubs: He is doing great! He has been very busy working on the fence and making it look perfect.  He is such a hard worker. It has been incredible hot the past few weeks and he's still out there after work and on the weekends trying to finish it.  I'm sure he's looking forward to a weekend at the lake for some R&R!

Week 16

I can't believe I've been pregnant for 16 weeks.  In the beginning it felt like time was going so slow and I never thought the 12 week mark would ever come.  Now, the weeks are going by so fast.  I've heard and read that there are some exciting times to look forward to in the next few weeks from feeling the baby kick, to finding out the gender, and painting the nursery.  This has been such a joyous ride and it only seems to be getting better and better!  My 16 week appointment was today, the heartbeat was great  and the little one was very active.  My doctor and I tried to identify the gender, but we had no such luck.  I did get to see it's spine and 5 finger bony hands which was incredible! Baby is getting so big! I can't week for the anatomy scan at 20 weeks. I look forward to all the sneak peak moments!

*Maternity Clothes: I have given in! I found some very cute outfits at Gordmans and online.
*Sleep: Slowly getting better, but waking up throughout the night.
*Stretch Marks: No sign of them, thank goodness!
*Best Moments of the week: Seeing my little one on the ultrasound and hearing it's heartbeat!
*Miss Anything: Enjoying the lake on a tube, wake board, and the fast boat rides. Now, its just way to bumpy!
*Food Cravings: Strawberries
*Anything making you queasy or sick: Oh,  the heartburn
*Have you started to show yet: Yes, a little.
*Gender: We should find out at the end of July.
*Belly Button in or out: in
*Wedding Rings on or off: on
*Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy, but moody when not feeling well.
*Looking forward to: feeling the baby kick.
*How's the hubs: He's loving the changes in my body and working hard to put up the fence in our backyard to keep the dogs in, so when my bump grows and baby comes there will be no worries about them wondering off.  He is the best a girl could ask for! Love him!
